Circular Economy Days in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Center for Education and Socializing (COD) Jajce is organizing Circular Economy Days, the first of this kind in the city of Pliva and Vrbas. The city of Jajce, which proudly bears the epithet of "continental Dubrovnik” in addition to rich cultural and historical treasures, as well as many cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has a major problem of waste disposal, and its sorting and recycling and introduction of new purposes, unfortunately still are a distant dream. 

This activity is part of the Western Balkans Circular Economy Week taking place 23 - 27 May 2022 organized by the LogEx Community.

The Balkan Forum initiative was launched at the first Annual Balkan Forum meeting held on 7-9 February 2013 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Forum gathered diverse stakeholders and leaders from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia. Over 50 participants from civil society, the private sector, academia, and government worked together to generate ideas and innovative strategies to deepen regional collaboration and catalyse economic development, drawing the region’s strengths and comparative advantages.
