Qendrimov kuharski san
Qendrim Mujaj, pripadnik romske zajednice, je jedan od 50 mladih koji su nakon tromjesečnog kursa za kuhare certifikovani od strane Centra za profesionalni napredak u Peći. Ovaj profesionalni trening je osposobljava mlade ljude za deficitarna zanimanja i povećava njihove šanse da se jednog dana zaposle. Upravo je to glavni cilj projekta „Opremanje, osnaživanje i zapošljavanje mladih, žena i drugih obespravljenih grupa u pet općina Republike Kosovo“. Projekat su implementirali Syri i Vizionit, Balkan Forum I Općina Istog, a financijski podržala Europska Unija.
Qendrim se sada osjeća spremnim da aktivno doprinese tržištu rada zajedno sa grupom od 42 mladih žena i muškaraca iz nevećinskih zajednica. Svi oni su ostvarili direktnu korist od treninga kojim su im dodijeljeni certifikati, te su sada kvalifikovani za zaposlenje i integraciju u tržište rada potpuno ravnopravni i bez diskriminacije.

Qendrim’s dream of becoming a chef
Qendrim Mujaj, who belongs to RAE community, is one of 50 young people who was certified by the Center for Professional Advancement in Peja after following a three-month course for chef at this center. The professional training of young people in skills that labour market is lacking aims to increase the opportunities for them to be employed one day, which is also the main goal of the project "Equipping, Empowering, and Employing Youth, Women and other disadvantged groups in five municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo" which is being implemented by the organizations Syri i Vizioni, The Balkan Forum in partnership with the Municipality of Istog, and financially supported by European Union funds.
Qendrim is now feeling ready to actively contribute to the labor market, as do the other 42 young men and women from non-majority communities who benefited from trainings and certifications and are now qualified to work and hope that one day they will be employed, integrated into the labor market without being discriminated and treated equally.
